Bookworm that I am, books are like candy to me.
The anticipation of reading is almost as good as the reading itself.
I read a lot of book blogs. Friends, and my fellow bloggers, have introduced me to some authors I have not, as yet, had the opportunity to read. So… I thought I’d write a post on the authors I have NOT tried yet, but that I’m certain I will enjoy, and highly anticipate reading. All are now on my very lengthy TBR.
I have provided a link to the authors’ Goodreads profile, and also put a link for the book that I want to read first by each individual author.
Starting with authors of thrillers (in alphabetical order):
Louise Beech
David J. Bell
Tony Black
Tammy Cohen
Mark Edwards
Elizabeth Haynes
Julia Heaberlin
Harriet Lane
Rosamund Lupton
Gilly Macmillan
Angela Marsons
B.A. Paris
Mel Sherratt
Sarah Ward
and also these authors who write general/literary fiction and historical fiction (in alphabetical order):
Patricia Falvey
Susanna Kearsley
Liane Moriarty
Maggie O’Farrell
Lucinda Riley
These are in addition to all of the wonderful authors I’ve already read and want to read more of. Where will I find the time? Isn’t life grand?
If you HAVE read any of these authors, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
I highly recommend Mark Edwards and B.A. Paris! Follow You Home and The Magpies were honestly two of the best thrillers that I’ve ever read. Also, I couldn’t but down Behind Closed Doors by B.A Paris! It was so well written and gripping.
If you’re in the market for more detailed reviews, I’ve posted about all of those titles on my blog.
Enjoy & can’t wait to hear your thoughts! ❤

That was a good idea for a post. There are a few authors I want to try going into the New Year…Peter James, Ian Rankin, Richard Montanari

I’ve read all three of the authors you mentioned. All are good. My favorite of the three would be Ian Rankin.
Also, if you haven’t read the Lewis trilogy by Peter May I highly recommend it.
Also, the Garnethill trilogy my Denise Mina.

Thank You!! Thank You!! I haven’t read either of those authors either. Oh my list of great authors I need to read keeps growing:) I like the idea of trilogies though, they’re not as intimidating as starting a series with 12 or so books I need to read just to be current.

I can’t get enough of Thrillers either so amazing list. You must read Elizabeth Haynes, absolutely loved Darkest Corner, oh my and Behind Closed Doors by BA Paris, they are both amazing. Try to read one before end of year. I really didn’t enjoy Sister, I am not interested to read others. I have heard amazing things about Angela Marson and want to start that series before end of year.

I’ve read most of these authors I highly recommend The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox and Liane Moriarty and you haven’t got any that I’d say ‘don’t bother’ I think you need a time making machine, I do too 😏

A time-making machine? If only. I’m hoping Borges was right when he said “I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library”.

I haven’t read many of these, but I adore Susanna Kearsley’s work – I first read “The Winter Sea” and loved it, but never got around to reading the sequel! I hope you enjoy these!

Wonderful post. I absolutely loved Black-eyed Susans. I didn’t enjoy Sister by Rosamund Lupton, but that might be because it was an audiobook and sometimes it doesn’t work for me in that format.
