I find myself attracted to certain kinds of covers. Covers are, after all, the way the publisher ‘hooks’ the reader into choosing one book over countless others.
Dustjackets entice the reader to enter a different world.
In this, my fifteenth installment of ‘Cover Love‘, I’d like to show you books that feature letters/envelopes on their covers.
Some I’ve already read, some are on my ‘to read’ list, and some I chose only for their covers.
Some, perhaps, will now be on your TBR!
Letter writing is a dying art. Many young people have never, ever, had the joy of writing or receiving a letter. Social media and the affordability of long distance telephone calls have made letters redundant… How very sad….
You are blowing up my TBR mountain with these cover posts!!
Great post!!

Take comfort in the fact that my TBR is as big or bigger than yours Susan. Tee-hee.

Oh, I love these covers. I love receiving snail mail as well. It’s a lost art.

Thanks Christine. Perhaps I’ll have to write a blog post someday asking readers which one of the “Cover Love” posts they like best – and why. 😉

I never really examined this part of the reading experience until you began your exquisite ‘cover love’ list, but it is very true: I am drawn to book covers.

Such a fun list! I read almost exclusively e-books now, but still love looking at the beautiful cover art. I’ve only read a couple of the books on this lidt, but find myself drawn to the art on a few more. I’ll need to check those out. Thanks!

I read almost exclusively e-books as well. But, that being said, it is USUALLY the cover art + the author that will entice my to add to my TBR.
