They say you can never have a second chance to make a good first impression. A book’s cover does just that – gives a first impression. A good cover can make a reader pick up a book. A bad cover can leave the book at the very bottom of a dusty pile. Dustjackets entice the reader to enter a different world. Covers are, after all, the way the publisher ‘hooks’ the reader into choosing one book over countless others.
In this, my seventeenth installment of ‘Cover Love‘, I’d like to show you books that feature chairs on their covers.
Some I’ve already read, some are on my ‘to read’ list,
and some I chose only for their covers.
Some, perhaps, will now be on your TBR!
Chairs can symbolize many things – and also many emotions. Chairs can comfort after a long day OR they can be used as instruments of torture…
Interesting. 🙂

Thanks Carla. I’m sure I missed lots of them – but I did my best.

Love this series! I think it’s interesting that only a few covers have comfy chairs. All the rest are hardbacks, maybe because the characters will find themselves in uncomfortable situations?

Very astute thinking! Thanks for your kind words about my Cover Love series. Many more installments to come. I’m trying to do two every month as they take a lot of time to prepare.

Lynne: some lovely covers! I have spent some time reading bits and pieces on Good Reads, and I did place some on my TBR list, too. Some of the covers are very intriguing; especially the one with sprigs of violets.

Yes it’s funny how some chair covers can be so benign, while others are downright scary!

Lynne: The minute I put Frailty on my TBR list, I had people ‘liking’ the selection; it has wonderful reviews, but it isn’t at Barnes and Nobel. I sent a pm to the author.

It is only $ 2.99 for the Amazon Kindle version of “Frailty”. I’ve seen tons of good reviews for that author.

I only read print books and I have an account on B and N market place. It is supposed to be wonderful

I think you might be, but I’m enjoying your efforts. You’ve still got my woman holding a nest/booties etc in cupped hands to cover yet 🙂

I’ve got ‘cupped hands’ coming up very soon. I’ve got 37 covers for that installment.
