They say you can never have a second chance to make a good first impression. A book’s cover does just that – gives a first impression. A good cover can make a reader pick up a book. A bad cover can leave the book at the very bottom of a dusty pile. The covers of novels entice the reader to enter a different world. Covers are, after all, the way the publisher ‘hooks‘ the reader into choosing one book over countless others.
In this, my twenty-fifth installment of ‘Cover Love‘, I’d like to show you 38 books that feature dandelion clocks on their covers.
The ephemeral quality of the dandelion clock lends itself to many genres of fiction.
A topic particularly fitting for spring as many of us wage war on the little lawn invaders. They are beautiful, but are better viewed in a farmer’s field than in our own backyards. LOL
Some of the following books I’ve already read, some are on my ‘to read’ list,
and some I chose only for their covers.
Some, perhaps, will now be on your TBR!
Just click on the cover to read the book’s synopsis from Goodreads.
You might just find your next favorite book!

Cover Love – some of which I’ve updated recently
What is your favorite ‘Cover Love‘ series post so far?
Have you found anything to add to your TBR?
This is such an original and fascinating series – I never would have guessed there were so many dandelion covers and all so beautiful and tantalising. I’ve quite a few of the books but some many years ago so the covers were different from the new released ones.

Love this newest entry in your Cover Love series. Being someone who actually finds dandelions to be quite beautiful (especially in a big field), I was curious to see the covers. I’m surprised that most of the covers images of dandelions past the flowering stage–except for two or three. I guess the whole turning to seed and giving birth/renewal probably goes more in hand with most themes in fiction/literature. I have to say I like the cover of the Toni Morrison cover the best as it showcases the beautiful yellow flower mane as well as the puffball we all loved to blow on as children. I also like the last cover and you’re very cute mouse pic. Thanks so much for another great entry in your popular series.

Gorgeous! Somehow, whatever subject you choose, the books look extra special for being grouped in this way. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed a dandelion cover before; I’ll see them everywhere now! Which may be a good thing since there are so many in your selection that look and sound enticing!

I never would have expected so many book covers to have dandelions on them. And that you thought to look for them in the first place is great.
