  2. I’d never heard of this book until I stumbled upon this post, but this sounds fascinating! Like a real life version of The Prestige.

  3. AH! Jack London during the time my grandfather lived in SF, London was his idol. Great post and an excellent female protagonist, real-life figure. Love these stories of what happens behind the scenes.
