As a lifelong reader, I’ve always known that there is magic to be found within books.
So… I thought I’d share a few graphics that helps convey my feelings about reading.
(Some I’ve shared with you before – others I’m sharing for the first time.)
How many book nerds lifelong readers are there I wonder?
These are great! Love them!

Every single one is wonderful. However, I’m particularly drawn to the one titled “Pillow Talk II”. I’m not a skimmer and I never skip to the end and I no longer watch the movie or television show before I read the book (unless I’m unaware there was a book). It just feels like cheating to me, and more importantly, like I’d be missing out on something, a connection, a feeling, I don’t know…I guess I think it’s sort of like baking – there is a reason why ingredients are added in a certain order, and if you eliminate one or add it at the last minute, your results aren’t going to be as expected. 🙂

Some wonderful quotes about the magic of reading. It is a beautiful thing and those that do not read miss out on so much. I am a proud Lifelong Book Nerd.

The Alan Bennett quote is my favourite and one of the many, many reasons why I love reading

Yes Cleo, the Alan Bennett quote touches me as well. It is all about ‘connecting’ with others via the printed word.

What a wonderful selection! Some brought tears to my eyes, and I’d be hard-pressed to pick a favourite. Thank you!
BTW: is the second one Shel Silverstein?

What a fab selection of quotes! I think my favourite is the Alan Bennett – there is definitely real magic in realising that you’re not alone in what you’re thinking and feeling.

So TRUE Hayley. I think that is why the book blogging community is such a tight knit one. Solitary readers, yet we all know we are NOT alone…

You are very welcome Lee. Did you have an ‘odd little book’ in mind when you read it?

This odd little mind is trying to remember. Sometimes you lose sight of things , and only a feeling is recalled. Might have been Heller’s Catch 22, or Hersey’s White Lotus.
