They say you can never have a second chance to make a good first impression. A book’s cover does just that – gives a first impression. A good cover can make a reader pick up a book. A bad cover can leave the book at the very bottom of a dusty pile.
The covers of novels entice the reader to enter a different world. Covers are, after all, the way the publisher ‘hooks‘ the reader into choosing one book over countless others.
In my 65th installment of ‘Cover Love‘, I’d like to show you books that feature ‘covers ripped from side to side‘.
Most of these titles I chose only for their covers.
I’ve read three of these – and a few more are on my TBR.
Some, perhaps, will now be on your TBR!
Just click on the cover to read the book’s synopsis from Goodreads.
You might just find your next favorite book!
Are you tempted by any of these covers?
Have you read one of these titles and absolutely LOVED it?
Please let me know in the comments.
If you have a few minutes, visit any of the previous installments of
Cover Love – some of which I’ve updated recently.
YEAH! You included Perfect Mother! Good book, by the way!

You’ll see them everywhere Sheree. I limited myself to those that fit in the genres I usually read but there are a lot more.

I have only read one of these books, the Becky Masterson one, but have the Phillip Margolin one on my TBR. You are so inventive, I don’t know how you come up with these ideas. Another great post.

I do love these cover posts and this one is especially creative as I don’t think I’d considered the ripped from side to side cover as ‘a thing’ before!

What fantastic themes you come up with! And who would have thought there’d be so many covers ripped side to side?

Painstaking searching. Each cover love post takes months of preparation. Whenever I see a cover that fits a certain criteria I save it to a folder. Anal I know. LOL

Great choice! I read “Alex” with my book club. It was a 5 star read – although the subject matter was very disturbing in places.
