I borrowed this idea from fellow blogger Cathy Johnson of What Cathy read next. She made a commitment to read one title by John Buchan every month. She calls it her “Buchan of the Month” posts.
I have SO MANY series that I really want to read. Some have been lingering on my TBR for far too long. In order to remedy this issue, I have decided to read a series from start to finish. Wish me luck because my review commitments still number in the hundreds… Like Cathy, I plan to read one title of the series every month. 
The first series I want to tackle is the D.I. Kim Stone series by Angela Marsons which is set in the West Midlands (or Black Country) of England. This series was highly recommended to me by Cleo of “Cleopatra loves books” blog. There are ten titles in this series at present. This should take me up to October 2019.
The first title in my “Marsons of the Month” blog series will be “Silent Scream“. So watch this space in January for my review.

The first title in my “Meyrick of the Month” blog series will be “Whisky from Small Glasses“, though there is a prequel novella entitled (“Two, One, Three“) that I will read first – God willing. There are now six novels and four novellas in the D.C.I. Daley series set in and around Edinburgh, Scotland.

This is such an awesome idea! I have so many book series that I want to read also, reading one book a month is a really good way to get the series’ finished. I think I may borrow this idea if thats okay??

Good luck!! Series always bog me down, so I have a real love/hate relationship with them. It’s so fun to really delve into characters and get to know them over multiple books… but I have soooo many books to read!!! I’ll be interested to see how your one-a-month project goes!

Wonderful idea! I belong to a Goodreads group where the goal is to get through our series. It helps that we do group reads, one book a month until we’re done. You’re going to enjoy this and good luck!

That’s a fantastic idea, would be fun for our book club with a tweak or 2! We have started off the new year already with a dark thriller read called Dark Inheritance. It’s so good, author is PB Lawson, pblawson.com has a great page with good info on it. It’s a good way for us to start off the year for sure!

Thanks for the shout out and good luck with sticking to your plan. I’m continuing my Buchan of the Month in 2019 (just coming up with my new list of titles at the moment) and I’m going to take a similar approach with other reading challenges (Classics Club, for instance) adding a book from each challenge to my reading plan for the month. Otherwise, I just tend to forget about them…

New Year good wishes to you too. As for the plan, I find there’s something encouraging about ticking things off a list and that I’m much more likely to get round to reading a book if it’s on said list. Like you, I have to juggle other reading around blog tour and review commitments, so unless a book’s on the schedule it’s probably going to get overlooked…
