Last year I began posting my reading ‘plan’ for the month. Well folks, it didn’t turn out so well. I think I did it for three months – then fell off the wagon. I’m starting 2019 with the intentions to try again. Recording a plan does help me to read more, but it also puts a bit of pressure on which I dislike. However… my TBR is so vast right now that if I don’t plan, then I’ll never get through it!
My Reading Plan for the month of January includes TEN titles:
(as is my usual custom I have linked the cover graphic to Goodreads so that you might learn more about the book)
Well folks, there you have it. I’d love to hear from you if you have made any reading resolutions or reading plans for 2019. Also, if you’ve read any of the above books I’d love to hear what you thought of it.
Very interested in Where The Crawdads Sing – I’ve seen people love it and hate it, so really looking forward to hearing your thoughts! My plan is to keep trucking along in finishing off my current reading list – I’m getting so close! – and if I can maintain my schedule of one read/review a week, I’ll be happy with that. Happy reading in 2019!

Ambitious! I’ve got Where the Crawdads Sing on my list, too. 🙂

Yes, it is ambitious for me as I find it difficult to read more than eight books per month. I’m really looking forward to “Where the Crawdads Sing” as I’ve read many positive reviews.

I concur about the pressure! And it is always the death of any plan I make. This year, I’m trying to “read what I have” and “only request galleys/library books if it’s a favorite author/series, on a best of list for 2019/2020 (later in the year), or if it’s recommended by a reader who’s tastes are similar”. And my Goodreads Challenge, which I set for 55 this year (lower than usual, but doable). For me, that will be hard enough!
Wishing you lots of luck on your second attempt! And Happy New Year!

Thanks so much Kim. I really enjoy it. I’ve just signed up for an online course using Photoshop layers.

Silent Scream and Where the Crawdads Sing are on my January TBR. I am joining you in reading Angela Marsons series. The others are not on my TBR at all, that is until I read your reviews and add them in the future.

Great Carla. It will be great to read along with you. I’m a little hesitant because the Marsons series is so highly praised by other bookbloggers. I hope I like it enough to read one every month for ten months.

So do I. It has always had positive reviews from the bloggers I follow.

I’m the same as you with reading plans so only really plan for the few blog tours I take part in. I loved This Is How It Ends and The Phantom Tree and hope you do too!
