Most readers will acknowledge that some words reappear time and time again in titles. Often these words are associated with a particular genre. Case in point: “The girl on the train” and “Gone girl” spawned countless thriller titles with the word ‘girl’ in the title. What better time to celebrate the word WINTER than the month of January?
I know there are thousands of books with the word ‘winter’ in the title, but I’m featuring 20 titles that appeal to me personally, as a way of sharing my book love. Five of these titles I’ve read, most of the rest are on my TBR.
(I’ve limited myself to 20 titles as I tend to get carried away. LOL )
Just click on the cover to read the book’s synopsis from Goodreads.
You might just find your next favorite book!
Are you tempted by any of these covers?
Have you read one of these titles and absolutely LOVED it?
If you’ve added even one of these titles to YOUR TBR, please let me know.
Oo I spy a Lulu Taylor novel!! I’ve actually just reviewed her latest book ‘The Winter Secret’ today! I think most of her books are set in Winter! I guess it’s quite a clever thing to do to release a winter book. At Christmas people may buy them for friends, and if not they sound cosy enough to get through the winter months with! I have to say I wasn’t disappointed with my latest read, so if you liked her other one I think you’d enjoy this one too! 😁

Thanks for the recommendation. Also, I think your point is very valid in that people buy books with a wintery feel or winter in the title thinking of long, cold, dark, winter days of cozy reading.

Lovely covers all, and I have a few of them myself. There is something about winter as a setting that is extremely appealing.

I have a copy of A Place Called Winter and forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder. So many different covers all with Winter in the title.

Hope you like it Carla. I’ve been meaning to read more by Patrick Gale, but so far haven’t managed it.

I’m reading “The Coldest Winter Ever” right now, which is not about the season.

It is cool when that happens. A few of the titles I have chosen are not about the season either. Thanks for commenting. ♥

A Place Called Winter is a book I adored. As I mentioned earlier this week, Patrick Gale is one of my favourite authors. Also remember loving The Winter Folly. Lulu Taylor seems to have a winter book out each year and they’re always great.

“A place called Winter” was a 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟read for me as well Joanne. It was the only Patrick Gale title I’ve ever read. “The Winter Folly” has been on my TBR for quite some time. I’ve never read anything by Lulu Taylor before.

Me too Nicki. That one has been on my TBR for quite some time – like another couple hundred books. If I ever get control over my TBR…
