To celebrate this year’s World Book Day, I thought I’d share some of my favourite reads of the past ten years.
Ten books that stand out in my memory as being truly great reads.
I have entered them in the year I read them (not the publication year) and I have included links to my review of these titles.
2010
“The Forgotten Garden” by Kate Morton
2011
“The Help” by Kathryn Stockett
2012
“The boy who shoots crows” by Randall Silvis
2013
“Dark Winter” by David Mark
2014
“A man called Ove” by Fredrik Backman
2015
“Little Black Lies” by Sharon Bolton
2016
“I let you go” by Clare Mackintosh
2017
“The Bird Tribunal” by Agnes Ravatn
2018
“The Possible World” by Liese O’Halloran Schwarz
2019
“Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens
I am a life-long book lover and reader. On World Book Day 2019, I thought I’d share my
own personal canon with you once again.
The books that made me the reader I am today.
Great list Lynne. I have read 6 of your top 10, so will have to check out the ones I have not read.

I’ve read a few of these, but I didn’t know you loved The Possible World so much. I’ve got that one on my Kindle and it’s long overdue to be read.

I’ve read 4 (Ove, Crawdads, Help, Forgotten Garden)….. I could add Invention of Wings, News of the World, Guernsey, and A Place For Us to this list! ….and so many more! It’s agonizing to restrict myself to a list!

I agree Carol. There were countless more I could have included. “Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine”, “Missing, Presumed”, “Beartown”, “The storied life of A.J. Fikry”, “Tin Man”, “The blackhouse”, etc. (To name just a few)
