Police Procedural series I want to start – Part III

I can’t help myself. Police procedurals, particularly those set in the United Kingdom, are probably my favourite type of read.  Part 1 and 2 of this blog series was SO rewarding, that I thought I’d give it another go.

The first time, the poll winner was Michael Wood’s DCI Matilda Darke series. I read the prequel and the first novel in the series and loved them both. Can’t wait to read more in the series soon.

The second time, the poll winner was Helen Fields’ DI Callanach series. I read “Perfect Remains” and it was riveting! Couldn’t put it down! Can’t wait to read more of the series in the very near future.

You guys make such stellar recommendations that I want your opinion for a 3rd time!

I’m on Goodreads everyday. I read other blogs everyday. How can I NOT be tempted to start more series?  For my third post in what could easily be a new blog series (Ha-Ha) I’ve listed the information on FIVE Police Procedural series that I’m eager to start. Perhaps they’ll tempt you too?  This time around I chose the titles that placed second in my first two polls PLUS three others that I haven’t mentioned yet.

If you’ve read any of these and can recommend them, I’ve included a poll at the bottom of the post so you can vote which I should read first out of these five.

So which is it to be?

Please vote below to share your opinion on which series I should read first.

I have not read any of these and the only one I am even familiar with is the Joy Ellis one, but I have not read any yet. I love seeing these polls of yours, it once again, introduces me to new authors and series. I am looking forward to seeing what others suggest.

Dang! I haven’t heard of any of these authors, or titles, and need to go research them. Though it might be because I live in Canada! Hope you find your next series.

The LJ Ross series gets better with each book, just about to start reading Longstone (book 10.) These books are what initially prompted me to visit Northumberland.

  9. Holy Island is the first “book” and it actually put me off the whole series. Perhaps a bit more editing, perhaps a bit more experience, perhaps a bit more reflection…it just didn’t feel finished, it was a bit messy…mind you, this is a very personal opinion and as the ratings are not really bad..🤔

    • Thanks for sharing your thoughts on “Holy Island”. It will be interesting to see the results of the poll. I will be letting it run until the end of this month, then declaring the winner in my “Hello April” post.
