April was a busy and interesting month for me. We had a baby shower for my daughter-in-law who is expecting in June. She is having a baby boy, and we are more than delighted at the prospect of becoming first-time grandparents and meeting our little grandson.
I’ve been having a few health issues, one of which has impacted on my reading. I have a retina which is threatening to detach. I’m seeing flashing lights and have floaters in my right eye. I’ve got the local eye specialists on speed-dial. LOL
For that reason, I didn’t read quite as much as I had hoped in April. Here is a collage of the books I did read. The bigger cover graphics are for the titles I enjoyed the most.
I was invited to be a member of the Bookouture blogger database. As Bookouture is another one of my favourite publishers, I was more than delighted to be included, especially as I live in Canada and they are based in the United Kingdom.
I was accepted into the Facebook Group hosted by Killer Reads. I was very happy about this as I’ve read several of their titles and the ones I’ve read have been stellar!
I received a lovely comment on Goodreads – just had to share it with you.
I opted to go for a ‘Paid’ WordPress plan which should eliminate those pesky advertisements. Let me know if you notice a difference, or have any trouble accessing my blog.
I will be taking part in a Cover Reveal on May 10th – Watch for it!
And remember…Here are just a few of my own short story anthologies:
May also marks the month when I start to read outdoors – which I love.

Gahhhh your eye, that must be really unsettling! But it doesn’t seem to have slowed you down much at all, you’re still crushing those reviews 😉 Hope it heals up soon for you!

Sorry about your eye woes….that sounds frustrating….hope it’s resolved soon!
Hopefully your switch in WP plans will be seamless! For some odd reason I have lost my spell check icon on my WP formatting bar…..have you ever had that happen? I’m extra nervous about hitting publish tonight! I’m sure I probably missed something.
Congrats on your accomplishments this month!
Rest your eyes now!

Thank-you very much for your kind words Carol.
As for the spell check icon, I haven’t noticed – but will keep an eye out and let you know if it disappears.
My move to the paid plan has been seamless so far, but I haven’t claimed my free domain yet. I’m not sure I will as WordPress has told me that it would require some redirects.

Redirects might be time intensive if you have to do that for every post 😟
