Most readers will acknowledge that some words reappear time and time again in titles. Often these words are associated with a particular genre. Case in point: “The girl on the train” and “Gone girl” spawned countless thriller titles with the word ‘girl’ in the title.
I know there are hundreds of books with the word ‘DARK’ in the title, but I’m featuring a small selection of titles that appeal to me personally, as a way of sharing my book love. I’ve read nine of the following titles and several more of them are on my TBR.
Just click on the cover to read the book’s synopsis from Goodreads.
You might just find your next favorite book!

Are you tempted by any of these covers?
So many fabulous ones here.
Have you read one of these titles and absolutely LOVED it?
I am not surprised to find many books with “Dark” in the title. I have had In a Dark, Dark, Wood on my TBR for quite a while, thanks for this reminder. Of course I actually had Dark Corners from the library, but ran out of time and had to return it. I will have to try again when I have less commitments.

The last book I read with ‘dark’ in the title was Dark Matter by Blake Crouch.
Interested to see The Dark Rose by Erin Kelly on your list – I have her book The Sick Rose so I’m guessing it’s the same one but maybe title differs between countries.

Yes, they are the same book. I hate it when the same book is published under two titles. I’ve actually bought two versions of the same book before… I bought the second one online and thought the author had a new book out 😞

Oh dear… I think it should be made clear when the book has been published under different titles.

In a dark dark wood, into the dark, and the dark rose look most interesting. Wow these are a lot of books with dark in the title!
