♥Help me choose my next ‘selfish’ read ♥

As a busy bookblogger, I seldom read anything other than advance reader’s copies.  I have a lot of review commitments, so tend to stick to those.

BUT… we all have personal TBRs packed with books we long to read on a purely selfish basis. My personal TBR is very long as I’m exposed to books daily via this blog and the blogs of my many online blogger friends.

Since February is my birthday month, I thought I’d try to fit in a ‘selfish’ read – one that I have NO commitment to read and review.

There are SO many wonderful sounding titles in my TBR that I thought I list twelve and let YOU choose!

I’d love to hear your comments about why you voted the way you did.

Thanks so much for helping with my very difficult choice.

  5. I definitely vote for My Lovely Wife! It’s a great debut and will hype you up for the author’s next book which comes out in a couple months.

Not an easy choice! I went for My Lovely Wife, but I loved The Neighbour, and Dirty Little Secrets, as well.

  7. I know nothing about any of these so I picked my lovely wife based on the fact that the cover popped out to me.

  8. What a a great post Lynne1 I wish I could try something like this on my blog, but I’m such a control freak when it comes to someone else choosing books for me that I’d probably hate the book everyone chose!

  12. Happy birthday month, Lynne! Also the same for both my mother and m-i-l. But I can’t vote because I don’t know these books.

In Bitter Chill – by Sarah Ward
I was drawn to this by the theme of loss and family secrets.

The theme is similar in principle – a tragic event followed up years later – to my book

    MISSING – by James McEwan.

I know you are busy and forgive the plug , your insights would be appreciated.

Such a tough choice, so many good ones! In the end I went with Dirty Little Secrets, as it’s one of my favourites and I loved it, especially the finale, and I think you’d enjoy it too. February is my birth month too BTW, my birthday’s on the 17th, when is yours?
