Challenge Ended – 20 Books of Summer – Success and Failure #20BooksOfSummer20

Back at the beginning of the summer I joined Cathy’s “20 Books of Summer Challenge” which ran from June 1st until September 1st, 2020

At that time I vowed to read the following 20 books:Did I succeed?

Yes and No.

First of all, I’m proud to say that I read 28 books during the allotted time – more than I had originally pledged. Sadly however, they were not all the books I pledged to read.  The graphic below shows the original twenty titles outlined in lime green. The books I actually read and reviewed have red check marks.

My plan was working perfectly until I realized that I had committed to participating in several blog tours during the summer months, thus had to rearrange my reading schedule.

So… I have four titles of the original 20 yet to read.In the next month I will read the four that I missed:

The River Home” by Hannah Richell

Women of the Dunes” by Sarah Maine

Rules for Moving” by Nancy Star

The Second Home” by Christina Clancy

Thanks to Cathy for hosting the challenge yet again this year. Hopefully next year I’ll be able to stay on course a bit better.

Did you participate in “20 Books of Summer 20”?How did you do?

  2. You certainly did a fine job anyway! I know how easy it is to get over-goaled and none of those books look like short stories. Bravo! 🙂

Great job Lynne, you did really well. I didn’t read the twenty I pledged to read, but read 19 of them, so am pleased. I am posting tomorrow.

  6. Congratulations Lynne you did it! I finished as well but hardly read any of my original list, which isn’t surprising as I went off the list as soon as I posted it! 😂
