A year that all of us will remember – most of us NOT in a good way. As the autumn nears here in Nova Scotia, we are all keeping our fingers crossed that a second wave of Covid-19 does not enter our beautiful province.
Our family has had several challenges this year – the latest of which was the second hospitalization of our darling grandson. Many of you expressed an interest in his recovery from his second bowel resection and I am delighted today to share these photos which show just how he is recovered and thriving. Young children are just SO resilient!
On a more minor note, I finally got a BINGO in the Summer Bingo Game I created back in June. There were two other bloggers who got a BINGO before I did.
The first person to get a ‘BINGO‘ in my Summer Bingo Game was Virginia Williams (Rosepoint Publishing Blog), and the second person to get a ‘BINGO‘ was Carla Hicks of (Carla Loves to Read).
So, without further ado, here is my BINGO card:
Here are links to the five reviews that contributed toward my BINGO:
Has bare feet on the cover
“The Bookshop at Water’s End” by Patti Callahan Henry
A police procedural
“The Crossing” by Matt Brolly
Has a number in the title
“Nine Elms” by Robert Bryndza
Has a single word title
“Weycombe” by G.M. Malliet
Has a blue cover
“The Whispering House” by Elizabeth Brooks
So… that’s it for now. I am in the process of creating a ‘Winter Book Bingo‘ which I will post near the end of the year. Hope many of you will participate and have fun with it.
Your grandson! What a champ! Just look at him, I’m so glad he’s bouncing back and got my fingers crossed for nothing but good health from here on out, for him and for all of your family. 2020 is certainly a year none of us will forget, but I hope (hope!) that we can all find glimmers of good to remember in the turd that was the rest of it…

My, your grandson is just the cutest!!! So happy that he’s doing so well after his second bowel resection ❤. Covid has certainly made it a very difficult and uneasy time for us all, but you and your family have really been put through the wringer. Here’s hoping the changing colours of Autumn bring along with them positive changes for us all…and that the inevitable second wave isn’t as devastating.

Oh, Lynne, your little grandson has seen so much in his life. Glad to see he is doing better, but have to know–is that the rest of it then? (I hope no more) And the Bingo–thanks again for the shout out. Also a shout out to Carla. A winter bingo card? Sure, count me in!

Yes Virginia, we think that his bowel issues are over, but of course nothing is guaranteed. He may have to watch what he eats for some time and stick with foods that are easier to digest.
Glad you’re enthusiastic about a winter BINGO. 👍😍

I’ve not been able to follow so well this year and hadn’t realised that your gorgeous grandson has had surgery twice. I’m so glad to see him so active and happy Lynne ☺️
