Cover Love: part 93 – Teacups

As the nights draw in with the advent of autumn, there is nothing more comforting than a hot cup of tea. To that end, I thought I’d use teacups on the covers of books as my 93rd Cover Love topic.

They say you can never have a second chance to make a good first impression. A book’s cover does just that – gives a first impression. A good cover can make a reader pick up a book. A bad cover can leave the book at the very bottom of a dusty pile.

The covers of novels entice the reader to enter a different world. Covers are, after all, the way the publisher ‘hooks‘ the reader into choosing one book over countless others.

Things to note!

I found 46 covers featuring teacups!

There are two identical covers here for different titles

AND… SEVEN of these cover feature broken teacups! Are you tempted by any of these covers?

Have you read one of these titles and absolutely LOVED it?

Please let me know in the comments.

And don’t forget to check out any of the other previous 92 installments of Cover Love, many of which have been updated since they were first published.

What an amazing addition to Cover Love. I never would have thought tea cups would hold such a place of importance on so many book covers. I have a few of these on my TBR, but some look so good, I will probably be adding a couple more.

I love this post and absolutely love tea and reading. You’ve pulled together a wonderful list of books (most I haven’t read sigh). I’ve been meaning to read The Peppermint Tea Chronicles (I love AMcS), but just haven’t fit it in, yet. I’ve read nearly all of Laura Childs Tea Shop mysteries and just went looking at covers and was surprised that the ones I had did not have a tea cup on them! Instead of not noticing a tea cup, I think I just assume one is on a cover! This fun post really got me thinking!👌😊
