Some creepy October reads from my TBR #Spooktober #halloweenreads #scaryreads

Back before I began my blog, I read seasonably. By that I mean I would read books that ‘fit‘ the season. Now, one of the unfortunate aspects of review commitments is that those books must be read first, regardless of the season.

For those readers out there who DO read seasonably, here are a few titles from my own Goodreads TBR that reflect the season leading up to Halloween. Scare yourself why don’t you?

As usual, I’ve linked the cover graphic to the Goodreads synopsis in case you want more information on the books.

Of the above books, the only one I plan to read this October is “The Lingering” by SJI Holliday. I’m reading this as one of my #Orentober books to celebrate the fabulous publisher, Orenda Books.

  2. I’m the opposite of you. Before I started blogging I never read seasonally but ever since I started blogging I started reading a few books seasonally mainly for Halloween and Christmas.

As always, you just made my “Want to Read” list MUCH longer! Thanks in advance for the terrifying recommendations.

  4. Afternoon, Lynne. The skeleton on the couch looks to be extremely comfortable. Can you read in that position? I can’t.

I also love a spooky house on the cover. Thank you for a great list.

Have read a few of these. The cover of Wildfell really appeals in a creepy sort of way!

I still try to read seasonably, but of course spooktober now has to share with Orentober. However, The Lingering does fall neatly in the two birds, one stone category 😄 Hope you enjoy!
