Yes folks, 2021 has reached the 1/4 mark. In an effort to keep organized and structure my reading, I’ve compiled this post to track my reading progress since January 1st.
I have read 35 books so far this year and reviewed them all:
I am doing well with my NetGalley Reading Challenge:
I am doing well with my Edelweiss Reading Challenge:
Here is where I stand with my Winter Book Bingo card:I have completed by Historical Fiction Reading Challenge pledge by reading FIVE titles:
I’m not making much progress with my “What’s In A Name” reading challenge:
Likewise, I’m progressing slowly with my Bookbloggers Reading Challenge:
I read and reviewed the SEVEN titles I pledged to read in March as part of the
Reading Ireland Month Challenge
My NetGalley Feedback Ratio continues to stand at 75%
My Edelweiss Feedback Ratio stands at 69%As of today, I have 234 review commitments outstanding. OUCH! In an effort to reduce this scary number, I am trying hard to refrain from requesting anything for the next few months.
I love your donkey and carrot graphic Lynne. Good luck with your Netgalley only reading this month. I not only have no shelf control, but I can’t stick to a TBR if my life depended on it. You are doing well with your challenges and you still have lots of time left this year.

Thanks Carla. Though I’m reading only NetGalley this month, I also received 4 publisher widgets. Oh dear…

Good luck with your Netgalley April, you’re doing pretty well on your challenges. I’ve avoided any challenges other than trying to reduce my tbr (incorporating Kindle, bookshelves and NetGalley)

You are probably wise to do so Jill. I find they motivate me.

‘Shelf control’ – love it!

The term is not original to me Kerry, but it is so ME that I borrowed it.

So many challenges, Lynne! They’re great for giving your reading direction, but when I’ve done really prescriptive one’s, I find it becomes a chore. I’ve never considered having so many Netgalley books on my shelf, as I try to read and review all that I’m granted on there. Do you get through them all eventually, or do some just expire?

I get to them all eventually Claire. I’ve never really caught up since I first joined. I went crazy with the requests back at the beginning and most of them were approved. I’ve been overwhelmed ever since… I have no ‘shelf’-control.
Those pesky authors keep writing such tempting books. 🤪😂🤣
