At present, I have 133 books on my NetGalley shelf waiting to be read and reviewed. In order to make a dent in that alarming number I’ve decided to read only NetGalley titles during the month of April.
If your NetGalley shelf is getting out of control, feel free to nab the above graphic and have yourself a ‘Nothing but NetGalley‘ April. ♥
Here is my April TBR:
Happy Reading!
I’m late seeing this post so I might do this in the month of May.✌ But I won’t be able stick to just netgalley arcs but I will do my best to prioritize them. I still have edelweiss arcs.😅

Haha. I’m doing an Edelweiss month later this year. 😉☺

Thanks. I read a dozen NetGalley titles in April which brought my feedback ratio up to 76% with 403 titles reviewed. Can’t wait for the 500 reviews badge.

guess that is possible, even with author requests and audiobooks now. good luck, Lynne.

Thanks Jill. If only I had the strength to not go on NetGalley, but when I submit my reviews my eyes always wander. I’m sure that is their devious plan. 😍

Oh, I see… well, that makes sense. My shelf at NetGalley has all of TWO books on it, so this isn’t a problem for me. On Edelweiss, on the other hand…

We always have lots of books we have to read and many we want to read. Well, but keep cool read one after the other.
From the books in your shelf we have only read Elly Griffith. We know her quite well and a lot of her stories play in our area. 12 books are not that much, you should have read them in May realistically. And then many new books will fill your shelf again.
Happy reading, thanks for sharing the feelings of most dedicated readers 🙏 🙏
All the best. Happy Easter 🐣🐣

LOL, someone’s in trouble! I probably shouldn’t tell you this, Lynne, but i just completed clearing off my Net Galley shelf after reading nothing but them all year!

Well done YOU!!!!! Congratulations Christine. I so admire your strength and perseverance. I’d be tempted to do the same if it weren’t for all the other review commitments I have from publishers and Edelweiss. It wouldn’t be fair to ignore them entirely. Oh well, I’ll get there in the end.

Good luck Lynne. I could do that, but I also need to stop requesting new ones. My April goal is to read as many MG or YA books that I can, all of which are either on my NG or EW shelf.

Absolutely Lynne. I also love that these goals are not written in stone and if I veer off, it is no big deal. 📚💖

That’s all I’m reading for April also, but I’m nowhere near your number. I’d be freaking out with that many – good luck!

Thanks Teri. 😍 (and yes, I am freaking out a little)

Good luck with your self-imposed challenge! I have nowhere near that number of unread books on my NetGalley shelf, thank goodness, but I’m still trying to pick off one or two of the older ones every month alongside keeping up to date with ones publishing soon. I’m also trying to stick to a one in, one out policy for new requests (except for blog tour titles) but it’s tough to resist the lure of forthcoming titles.

Love your ‘one in one out’ plan Cathy. I do that with my clothes closet, so why not with my NetGalley shelves? I’ll try… 👍😍📚

It’s so easy to build up a back log on that site!

Way too easy Cathy. Especially for someone like me who has no shelf control. 📚🤪❤

Thanks Mairead. I suspect I’ll have to do this another month before the year is out.

I feel guilty too about all my unread Net Galley books. I would have read them by now if only they’d been in real formats but I’m finding it hard to get enthused about reading electronic copies.

Haha. I prefer to read electronically. In fact my last 460 titles I’ve read on my Kindle Paperwhite. 🤩📚 Good luck with your NetGalley shelves.

Oh gosh. I longed for a Kindle even before such a thing was invented and in the years where I had to do an enormous amount of business travel, mine was my must have luggage item. But now I don’t go anywhere and am discovering that when I do pick it up my experience is different to that of reading a paper version

It is so reassuring to find someone else with a similarly out of control NetGalley tbr! I started a ‘mostly NG’ reading habit at the start of the year. Best of luck with it 🙂

Thanks. I really should be reading nothing but NetGalley for the rest of the year. However, I have other review commitments as well. 🤪📚❤
