Teaser Tuesday – August 10, 2021 #NewBook #TeaserTuesday @SampsonF #TheLastChanceLibrary @BerkleyPub

My Tuesday post where I’ll ‘tease‘ you with the cover, blurb, and first paragraph of one of the advanced reader’s copies from my own TBR.

This book is a title I downloaded from NetGalley.

Today, Tuesday August 10, 2021 I want to introduce one of the ARCs on my TBR.

This book will be published August 31, 2021

Publisher: Berkley Publishing Group

ISBN: 9780593201374 – ASIN: ‎  B08QMB16FQ – 336 pages

1) The protagonist works in a library. (I retired from the library almost six years ago and I miss many aspects of the work)

2) The blurb mentions eccentric locals – my favourite kind LOL

3) The novel is bound to contain many literary references.

3) The story sounds like feel-good UPLIT, a genre I’m coming to appreciate more and more.

“You can tell a lot about a person from the library books they borrow.

June liked to play a game when things were quiet at work. She’d pick a patron and make up their life story based on the books they read. Today she’d chosen a middle-aged lady who took out two Danielle Steel novels and ‘The Rough Guide to Iceland’. After some consideration, June decided that the woman was trapped in a loveless marriage, perhaps with a boorish, aggressive husband. She was planning to run away to Reykjavik, where she’d fall in love with a rugged, bearded local. But just as she thought she’d found true happiness, her husband would track her down and announce…

“Well, that was a pile of shit.”

June was snapped out of her daydream by Mrs. Bransworth, who was standing in front of the desk waving a book in her face.

Have you ever read anything by this author?

Is this a title that you would consider adding to your TBR pile?

Why, or why not?

Let me know in the comments.

Thank you for your post. Yes, I’ve added it to my ever-growing “want-to-read” list. I worked in a public library for several years during college.

Hello, Thanks for your great reviews. I wanted to leave a comment, but I am not on Facebook anymore (too political for me and too many conspiracy nuts), I was never on wordpress, and I have not been on Twitter in 2 years. Is that the only way to log on? Let me know, Andrea
