Cover Love part 104 – Eyeglasses

They say you can never have a second chance to make a good first impression. A book’s cover does just that – gives a first impression. A good cover can make a reader pick up a book. A bad cover can leave the book at the very bottom of a dusty pile.

The covers of novels entice the reader to enter a different world. Covers are, after all, the way the publisher ‘hooks‘ the reader into choosing one book over countless others.

For my 104th Cover Love post, I want to share some books that I’ve found with eyeglasses on their covers. Both prescription glasses and sunglasses seem a popular choice for use on book covers, as you will realize by these 26 examples…

Have you read any of these titles?

Don’t forget to check out any of the other previous 103 installments of Cover Love, many of which have been updated since they were first published.

  4. Love these covers Lynne especially the ones with sunglasses on them. The only book I’ve read is The Idea of You and it was because of the cover and the 99p price tag! 😂

Another great addition to Cover Love, Lynne. You always come up with some good topics, that I wouldn’t have thought of. I have read Dear Daughter and A Bad Day for Sunshine, Both were very enjoyable. So many on this list I have heard of, but not on my TBR. There are a couple calling to me, especially The Good Teacher.

I’ve read The Good Liar and The Idea of You from that lot. Another book that sprang to mind was Finer Things by David Wharton (I think) which is published by Sandstone Press.
