Teaser Tuesday – November 2, 2021 #NewBook #TeaserTuesday @HarperCollins @LisaStoneBooks #TheCottage @edelweiss_squad

My Tuesday post where I’ll ‘tease‘ you with the cover, blurb, and first paragraph of one of the advanced reader’s copies from my own TBR.

This book is a title I downloaded from Edelweiss.

Today, Tuesday November 2, 2021 I want to introduce one of the ARCs on my TBR.

This debut novel will be published on November 9, 2021Publisher: HarperCollins

ISBN: 9780008445973 – ASIN: ‎ B08SQJLDJD –  352 pages

1)  The enticing, and dare I say foreboding, cover.

2)  I enjoy novels about people looking for a ‘fresh start’.

3) The creepy autumn vibe.

4) This is written by Lisa Stone – a pseudonym for author Cathy Glass.

“There was something outside. Jan was sure of it. Just as she’d been sure the evening before.

The living room curtains were closed against the night sky, but on the other side of the window lay a small patio, and there was something lurking out there. She hadn’t seen or heard it, but the dog on her lap certainly had. Tinder had been asleep, then his ears had pricked up and he’d raised his head. He was now staring at the curtain and growling, his pupils enlarged to black orbs. His behaviour was unsettling her even more.”

Is this a title that you would consider adding to your TBR pile?

Why, or why not?

Have you read anything else by this author?

Let me know in the comments.

It sounds eerie and I love the cover. I wonder if Jan had investigated her yard that morning or had her dog found anything that morning, as this was the second night in a row that she heard someting out there. Sounds like a book that I could dive into as I’ve never read anything by her.
