Fictionophile Blog Update – First Quarter of 2022

Yes folks, 2022 has reached the 1/4 mark. In an effort to keep organized and structure my reading, I’ve compiled this post to track my reading progress since January 1st.

I have read 37 books so far this year and reviewed them all:I have participated in SEVEN blog tours so far this year.

I am doing well with my NetGalley Reading Challenge:

I am on track with my Edelweiss Reading Challenge:

I’ve not yet read any of the titles for my Bookbloggers Reading Challenge  YIKES!

I read and reviewed only TWO of the titles I pledged to read in March as part of the
Reading Ireland Month Challenge. I vow to do better next year.

My NetGalley Feedback Ratio continues to stand at 78%

At present, there are 128 titles on my NetGalley shelf.

My Edelweiss Feedback Ratio stands at 72%

As of today, I have 191 review commitments outstanding. OUCH! In an effort to reduce this scary number, I am trying hard to refrain from requesting anything for the next few months. Also, sometime within the next few months I will be undergoing major surgery, so I don’t know yet how that will impact my reading and reviewing.

Book Blogging… the struggle is real.

Wonderful update, Lynne. I need to get one done as well. Hmm time to read, review or post – which do I choose? I will never get to 80% but fortunately it doesn’t impact my reading enjoyment. I am really going to try not to request books unless I am on the blog tours for the next few weeks.

I enjoy reading that I’m not the only one struggling to get all my review commitments under control. We’ll get them caught up eventually, I like your determination.

I can’t believe someone would ask you to share pdfs – cheeky or what?! Sorry, none of my beeswax – anyway, I had the same problem when I first joined Netgalley (and Edelweiss) – I’m the same whenever I’m near books, like a kid in a sweetshop! I need to get organised at sending my feedback and putting my reviews on Amazon and Goodreads too. It’s just so time consuming but I really must do it!

Looks like you are doing well! I enjoyed reading your quarterly round up. I started blogging in June 2021 so am still looking at ways of tidying up what I do!
