My Tuesday post where I’ll ‘tease‘ you with the cover, blurb, and first paragraph of one of the advanced reader’s copies from my own TBR.
This book is a title I downloaded from NetGalley.
Today, Tuesday May 24, 2022 I want to introduce one of the ARCs on my TBR.
This novel will be published on June 14, 2022
Publisher: Berkley Publishing Group/Penguin Random House
ISBN: 9781984803047 – 384 pages
1) The setting. A small seaside town in Sussex which is packed with secrets.
2) The protagonist is reluctant to return to work after a medical leave, but feels compelled to do so.
3) The mention of a cleaner who is a font of local knowledge.
4) I’ve read three other Fiona Barton novels which I thoroughly enjoyed.
“Afterwards, Pauline said she hadn’t even noticed Charlie was missing until I woke her.
The car had been in the drive but there’d been no sign of him when I’d let myself in to clean. I’ve got my own key and I’m often here before they’re up. I prefer it to be honest. I can just get on with my job. I’m almost done before they even realize I’m about. The invisible woman, my husband jokes sometimes.”
Is this a title that you would consider adding to your TBR pile?
Have you read anything else by this author?
Why, or why not?
Let me know in the comments.
This sounds sounds quite creepy Lynne! I definitely wouldn’t want anyone coming into my house whilst T was asleep! 😱

It would never work in our house as my husband is a super light sleeper. Not that I could ever afford a cleaner. 🤣😂
