Fictionophile Blog Update – First Half of 2022 #bookbloggers #bookblog

Yes folks, 2022 has reached the halfway mark. In an effort to keep organized and structure my reading, I’ve compiled this post to track my reading progress since January 1st, 2022

I have read 73 books so far this year and reviewed them all:I am doing well with my NetGalley Reading Challenge:

I am on track with my Edelweiss Reading Challenge:

I’ve read HALF of the titles for my Bookbloggers Reading Challenge  – so on track.

My NetGalley Feedback Ratio continues to stand at 79% but, by my calculations, I should reach 80% this month! At present, there are 127 titles on my NetGalley shelf.

My Edelweiss Feedback Ratio stands at 72%

As of today, I have 180 review commitments outstanding. OUCH! In an effort to reduce this scary number, I am trying hard to refrain from requesting anything for the next few months. Also, sometime within the next few months I will be undergoing major surgery, so I don’t know yet how that will impact my reading and reviewing. I’ve been waiting for  a surgery date now for over eight  months…

Book Blogging… the struggle is real.

Happy Canada Day!

  1. Wow you are doing fantastic with your reading challenges! Those Netgalley numbers are scary though… I thought I was doing bad with 31 pending titles haha. I guess it does help that a lot of the books aren’t available for international bloggers; my pending shelf would be a lot fuller otherwise. 😉
I hope you will get your surgery date soon! It’s so stressful having to wait for that long…

  2. You are doing awesome Lynne!! This just reminded me it’s time for me to check in too. I know I am smashing my Goodreads challenge but beyond that I don’t know how I’m doing.

    • Yes, it is always helpful to take a moment to reflect on your progress to see how you can improve and what needs your attention the most. If I didn’t do this periodically, I’d fail at most of my challenges. LOL

      • I agree. I used to not do check ins and I always failed but since I started doing them every quarter it reminds me of what I’m supposed to be doing and sometimes helps me be successful.

Lynne, I sure hope that surgery date happens soon for you. I know how difficult this must be for you. I have never had the 80% badge but one can hope. 😂😂 You are doing well with all your challenges at the halfway point. Congratulations.

  5. Great post, lots of achievements with your reading. But I’m appalled at how long you’ve been waiting for a surgery date. I’ve been wondering about you. Hope you are not in pain. Thankfully my hubby didn’t have to wait like that for his, he could no longer function.

    • Thanks Virginia. Our health system hasn’t yet recovered from Covid. I am very uncomfortable, but thankfully not in pain. It will be nine months on July 16th that I’ve been waiting.

  6. How stressful to have to wait so long for a surgery date, Lynne. Luckily you have all those books to keep your mind distracted. Surely you can get that outstanding review commitments number down to 100 by the end of the year 😉😂.
