My Tuesday post where I’ll ‘tease‘ you with the cover, blurb, and first paragraph of one of the titles from my own TBR.

This book is a title I downloaded from NetGalley and I will be reading it this month.

Today, Tuesday August 2, 2022 I want to introduce one of the ARCs on my TBR.

1)  The setting. As soon as I read that the book was set on a remote island off the coast of Scotland I was well and truly hooked.

2)  The mention of dark secrets – always a draw for me.

3) I enjoy novels that feature dual timelines.

4) I could well imagine the first paragraph where the narrator is in a crowded place/subway wearing a face mask.

“Lights flashed and flickered and sparked in the darkness. I stood frozen and motionless and gripped on to the pole and mumbled an apology to the lady I bumped into when the carriage swayed around a bend in the track. A cold sweat broke out across my forehead and drips of moisture ran down my back. A man standing opposite me stared. I tried to breathe inside the mask that covered my mouth and nose and looked at the blank white space above the window.”
