Teaser Tuesday – January 3, 2023 #NewBook #FatalSecrets @anitamayw #TeaserTuesday #TuesdayBookBlog @BoldwoodBooks

My Tuesday post where I’ll ‘tease‘ you with the cover, blurb, and first paragraph of one of the titles from my own TBR.

This book is a title I received from Boldwood Books via
NetGalley and I’ll be reading it soon.

Today, Tuesday January 3, 2023 I want to introduce one of the ARCs on my TBR.

This novel will be published on February 8, 2023

Publisher: Boldwood Books

ISBN: 9781804153208 –  ASIN: B0BLS4SVWB –  295 pages

1)  This is the start of a new crime series based in Yorkshire!

2)  I like how siblings join forces to investigate their father’s death – the first paragraph makes it sound as though they are close.

3) This author has been on my radar for some time.

4) I usually enjoy British police procedural crime fiction.

“That Saturday in March 2022, the twelfth to be exact, was memorable for many reasons.

Cambridge United had travelled up the A1 for a League One match against Sheffield Wednesday, and DI Matt Forester and his sister Hermia had both managed to make use of their season tickets without work interfering to stop them; their seats were adjoining on the Hillsborough Kop, and he hoped it would be an excellent game.”

Is this a title that you would consider adding to your TBR pile?

Have you read anything else by this author?

Why, or why not?

Let me know in the comments.

  1. Anita Waller says:

I’ve read (and written) all of Waller’s 23 books, and I’m absolutely delighted with this teaser. The book is set in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, and as you can see it features SWFC in the first paragraph. After that it changes to a spot of murder, a touch of sloppy love, and a whole heap of danger. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. It will be part of a trilogy, and I’m about to start book two.
