They say you can never have a second chance to make a good first impression. A book’s cover does just that – gives a first impression. A good cover can make a reader pick up a book. A bad cover can leave the book at the very bottom of a dusty pile.
The covers of novels entice the reader to enter a different world. Covers are, after all, the way the publisher ‘hooks‘ the reader into choosing one book over countless others.
For my 112th Cover Love post, I want to share 20 fiction books that I’ve found with circular staircases on their cover. These titles fall into many different genres of fiction- thriller, fantasy, and mystery to name a few.
All covers are linked to the Goodreads descriptions.Have you read any of these titles?
Do you have a favourite cover?
Don’t forget to check out any of the other previous 111 installments of Cover Love, many of which have been updated since they were first published.
I always enjoy your cover love posts, Lynne. What a great choice for this one. I have read The Family Upstairs and enjoyed it. Of course, I enjoy everything Lisa Jewell writes. These covers make me dizzy, and some definitely call to me. I do have a copy of The Book of James, but haven’t had time to read it yet.

I feel dizzy with all these spirals! I haven’t read any of these but love the cover of the Natasha Lester book – so elegant.

I just went to add Seven Lies to my list due to cover love and weirdly, the UK cover shows a woman on a regular staircase 😄

Yes Kelly. Covers very often differ from North America to the United Kingdom. I don’t know why they feel the need to…

I know but usually they go for two very different covers, like (and to stay on topic) Stephen King’s Fairy Tale where one has a spiral staircase and one a forest. I find it bizarre they’d go with a spiral staircase on the one and a straight one on the other. I’d quite like to listen in on those meetings 😄
