While most readers know Libby, its book club – Big Library Read – has been flying under the radar since 2014. It’s a free, global, digital book club that allows millions of readers around the world to read the same Ebook simultaneously without any wait lists or holds.
This Big Library Read novel is available in more than 22,000 libraries around the world, including approximately 90 percent of public libraries in North America. During the program, readers participate in engaging online discussions about the title. The program is facilitated by OverDrive, the creator of the Libby app.
The website has discussions online, where people can respond to prompts on the book, provide book recommendations, or even propose some questions to the author.
The current pick is Tastes Like War by Grace Cho.
With unlimited downloads available until May 17, it’s also a great read for Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month.
Would YOU be interested in this online bookclub? Why, or why not?
Happy Ereading everyone!

I’ve joined in with a couple of reads in the past, but didn’t know that there was a discussion for it. I usually just share my thoughts through blog posts and with friends when we meet up.

I’ve also seen it on the Libby App, but I never tried to join. I need to fix that and join in sometime this year. 🙂
